Tournament Update:

We have been accepted to the Steamboat tournament November 7-9. The hotel we have selected is the Sheraton Steamboat Resort. There is a tournament rate although it doesn't seem to be available online today. Lindsay Laub is going to call tomorrowto verify the rate and I will send an update once we have booking details.

If you are looking to get flights for the San Diego tournament, please know that games can start as early as 9:00am on Friday, February 13, and games will be over by 4:00pm on Monday, February 16.

The San Diego and Colorado Springs tournaments require booking tournament hotels so that info will come out later.

The team assessment fee will be $175 per player. Please make checks to Tom Anderson and get to him this week.

Team Sponsor Banner:

I am looking for someone willing to coordinate a team sponsor banner. I will print the banner at work and put an Alphagraphics logo on the banner so there is no cost for printing. Please let me know if you are willing to coordinate the banner (be point of contact for communications and logo collection). Once I have a volunteer for this, more information will be communicated.

Stats and Clock Volunteers:

I have four volunteers for stats and time clock; one or two more would be great. I can forward detailed instructions to anyone willing. Please let me know if you are willing.

Assessment:

Part of your players' season fee includes $1500 per team toward tournament entry fees; however, we do not receive this in time to apply for the first two tournaments. We will also fundraise, but will need to assess each player in order to attend the additional tournaments. Our Treasurer, Tom Anderson, and I will put together a budget and the assessment amount will be sent out soon after. The assessment check will be made out directly to Tom and he will pay the tournament fees directly. Any assessment money remaining at the end of the season after tournaments, coach reimbursements and team expenses will be refunded.

Game attire:

Coach Tim Knox would like all players to wear khaki slacks and a polo shirt for home games. He is looking into getting Jr Eagles logo'd shirts, but in the meantime please have your player in khakis and a polo. For away games they will wear the blue NCYH warm up suit that is available at Hat Trick at NoCo. Please always bring both colored jerseys and socks to all games.

Coach Tim or I will hand out jerseys to the kids at a practice next week. They will also be receiving breezer covers to wear at each game. The breezer covers are new this year and were made available thru a donation. Please make sure your player has game socks (both blue and white) that are available for purchase at Hat Trick at NoCo.

Fundraising:

Lindsay Laub will be our NCYH raffle coordinator. More details will be sent out about this at a later date.

Brandi-Lynn Greig will be our Casino Night Auction table chair (with some help from Jenni Dobson). Casino Night is Friday, November 14th. We are aiming high for a great fundraising effort from our team's table and ticket sales! If you have ideas that you'd like to share with Brandi-Lynn, you can email her at brandilynngreig@gmail.com.

Other volunteers:

Goal Can - Suzanne Hammers
1st Aid Kit - Jason Thron
Community Service Projects - Jenni Dobson
Events - Sara Hop
Tournament hotels - Lindsay Laub
Website - Jeff Errett (work in progress, it will be updated as CAHA gets schedules and rosters posted). Eventually this will be used as a resource for player and team info.

Sport Ngin/time clock:

Please let me know if you are willing to run the clock or SportNgin (replaces Pointstreak) for home games. We have a couple people that are willing, but the more we have the less frequent the rotation. From what I hear Sport Ngin is much more user friendly than Pointstreak was.

Penalty box:

I will assign penalty box duty by jersey #. Once the kids have jerseys, I will assign for the first games.
